Thank you for your interest in the Pinwheels for Prevention campaign!

Please note: We had a temporary problem with Pay Pal transactions not going through. This issue has now been resolved! Persons who had trouble previously with ordering Pinwheels via PayPal will now be able to do so successfully. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Pinwheel symbolizes a carefree childhood and represents the vision PCA PA has for
every child in Pennsylvania. The Pinwheels for Prevention campaign is the national platform
of Prevent Child Abuse America and is designed to increase our nation’s focus on community activities and public policies that prioritize prevention right from the start. Our ultimate
goal is to make sure child abuse and neglect never occur and to share the message that prevention is possible.
Here are some ways to utilize pinwheels to get the message out:

  • Plant a “pinwheel garden” with signage delivering the prevention
message in locations where they will be seen by the public.
    Examples include:
    - State capital building grounds, courthouses, City Halls, libraries and other civic facilities
    - Airports, major thoroughfares, malls, stadiums, community centers

  • Use the pinwheels to make a bouquet to be displayed at events or sent to sponsors

  • Integrate pinwheels into existing events such as:
    - Sell/display at conferences, press conferences
    - Decorate tables at fundraising dinners/galas
    - Display at golf outings
Be creative with your ideas and please share any pictures with PCA PA so we can post them on our website blog. Just remember to follow the national guidelines set forth by Prevent Child Abuse America for consistency in our message.
